Sumthin Beachie is what we’re all about.

In essence, we are a gift shop full of nautical décor items, furniture, wall art and signs, and unique items for your home or beach paradise.

As a consignment store, we are always looking for new and fun merchandise. We travel up and down the Atlantic Coast to find what we think will be appeal to our customers. We have added a lot to the store—so much you can hardly walk around. Consigners and local craftsmen bring unusual and fun beachy items that will enhance your décor. Many item are one-of-a-kind. If you’re looking for an unusual and authentic coastal artifacts, come see us. We will try to help.

How about a line of beach clothes for your four-footed beach friends? Or new cottage-style cabinets along the lines of pie safes, sofa tables and end tables. Some of these tables are made locally from old dock wood. We have locally made North Carolina-shaped coffee tables, wine bottle and glass holders plus bottle openers that are on North Carolina shaped plaques.

Something new to us also is a line of all natural soaps. We are so happy we chose to carry such wonderfully scented soaps. Hand painted sand dollars, scented candles and ornaments are made locally. Metal yard art seems to be the latest fad for your pool area or for your patio. Fish and flamingos are the most popular.

Wall décor seems to be what a lot of our customers want to spruce up their condos or their rental units.

Shopping is just so much fun at Sumthin Beachie.  You just can’t leave empty handed.  We take great pride in offering such great merchandise at very reasonable prices. If you haven’t discovered our famous 50% Off Room, you are missing one of the best things on the island.  My husband, Jim, finds fabulous deals by buying out showrooms, warehouses or by reducing our own store merchandise to make room for the new items.

Don’t overlook the garage behind the store. There you’ll find new and pre-owned furniture for sale. Great, great, great deals on anything from farm tables to vintage wood lobster traps from Nova Scotia.

The staff is happy to talk to you about how to re-purpose the items in the store or the best way to display store items in your own home.

Merchandise moves fast at Sumthin Beachie, so every week the store gets a facelift.
